The Story Behind the Name
The ORigins of noya
Our name, NOYA, is inspired by the legendary tale of a geisha warrior named Noya. According to the myth, Noya was entrusted with protecting the culinary secrets of her people, the Kumaso, using her supernatural powers and warrior’s heart.
Trained in the art of bow and blade by Taira No Masakado, Japan’s first samurai, Noya became a fierce guardian of the Kumaso’s ancient food traditions. She stood as a formidable force against those who sought to unlock their culinary heritage.
